Description

Falls from height (FFH) consistently have the highest accident rate in the construction industry compared to other accidents. It accounts for one-third of total construction injuries. Falls are the leading cause of death in the construction industry, accounting for over 3,500 fatalities between 2003 and 2013. Falls from roofs account for nearly 1,200 (34%) deaths from falls during this period.

Roofers encounter many hazards on the job, including hazards associated with working at heights from ladders, power tools, electricity, noise hazards, hazardous substances, and extreme temperature.

This course will expose the trainees to areas of present and potential hazards when working at height and workplace, emphasizing the roofs and roofing systems. Learners would be well equipped with safety rules, procedures, and safety signs for work at heights and the general work environment.
